About this Course
Devotions and prayers dedicated to the Divine Feminine are a doorway, an opening between the natural world and the mystical unknown. The altar is the anchor of this liminal space, the place where the energy is raised, the magick is spun, and your intentions are given shape and form by the hands of the Goddess.
Altar Blessings are a ritual spiritual service, led by two High Priestesses of the Divine Feminine who are also Aborishas and both Daughters of Oshun, to hold space for more light, more love, and more healing to blossom in your life.
Oshun is the Orisha Goddess of sensuality, love, beauty, femininity, joy, and pleasure. Her name means “source” and She rules the sweet waters of the world (rivers, streams, and fresh waters), making her the preserver of human, animal, and plant life. As the spring of feminine power and ingenuity, her energy is founded in the golden sweetness of being human: all the exciting, love-filled things and experiences that make our lives worth living.
On May 5th, join Kimberly Moore and Brandi Auset in a sacred ritual to bring forth the blessings of the Honey Goddess.
For the Oshun Altar Blessing, Kimberly and Brandi will each create an altar space to the Goddess to receive petitions. This means two altars – one on the East Coast and one on the West – will be dedicated to Oshun in all of her forms, bringing deep energies forth to align with your intentions and to call forth your blessings. Fresh flowers, crystals, and healing herbs will be added to the altars to honor Oshun and evoke Her assistance and favor for our petitions. The name of each participant will be written and added to the altars and the blessing bowls, then ritually offered up with the appropriate incense, candles, and prayers.
This Altar Blessing will invite Oshun to bestow upon us:
- Wild feminine empowerment
- Connecting to and embracing our personal beauty
- Living sensuality in all its forms
- A constant flow of abundance and prosperity
- Cultivation of a life filled with pleasure, laughter, and love
- Protection from poverty, lack, and depression
The Altar Blessing will be performed on Saturday, May 5th 2018. After the ritual is complete, photos of the altars will be uploaded to the classroom space, along with a summation of the work done, and a few ways to connect with Oshun for your personal practice.
We are so happy and honored that you've chosen to join us for this powerful ritual to the Orisha Goddess of Sweet Waters!
