About this course

“I feel the nights stretching away, thousands long behind the days,
till they reach the darkness where all of me is ancestor.”

~Annie Finch

The Beloved Dead: Ancestor Magick is a moderated self study course with Priestess Kimberly Moore. You may begin at any time of the year and use these prompts and practices to connect to your Ancestors and the Dark Goddesses.

Are you feeling it? The whispers from Goddess, Ancestors, and Good Spirits inviting you to connect. The pull of the Beloved Dead, Ancestors, and Good Spirits is most palpable as we wind our way to Samhain (All Hallow's Eve), but working with the Ancestors and Good Spirits is a journey of love that may be taken at anytime.  Leading us through the innermost labyrinths are the the Dark Mothers whose liminal natures signify the mysteries of life, death and rebirth.  We accept their guidance through the darkness that spirals into and connects with the wisdom of the Ancestors and Good Spirits.

Join me on a  30 day journey. Let's shift between the worlds, sit in Hel's hall, meet Hekate at the crossroads, walk the cemetery with Maman Brigitte, and witness the dead with Ma'at.

The Beloved Dead: 30 Days of Ancestor Magick gives you an activity and/or prompt each day for 30 Days: some video, some audio, some written.

This is an experiential course. Prompts are given for you to explore, connect, and to truly tap your roots. Bonus extended lessons and resources are included throughout the course on the topics of Ancestor Magick, Psychic Protection, and Dark Goddesses.

Week One - Who are your Beloved Dead? What are Good Spirits? We begin with identifying our Ancestors, our Beloved Dead, our Good Spirits. We also discuss the Not-So-Beloved Dead and Ancestors as Psychic Protection.

Week Two - We create the Ancestor Altar and explore types of offerings, how to take care of and feed the Ancestors and Spirits, and how to begin or strengthen communication. The week begins with a journey to Hel's Hall and also includes a how-to and recipe for Hekate's Supper.

Week Three - We explore the HolyDays of the Dead. There are ideas for activities this week to celebrate the Ancestors and Good Spirits through all of the seasonal festivals, including Samhain, Dia de los Muertos, All Saints' Day, and All Souls' Day. Use this information to prepare for your seasonal journeys.

Week Four - The Dark Goddesses, the Psychopomps, and the Graveyard Goddesses step forward to lead us on an exploration of Death and Funeral Rites, the ideas of Afterlife and Reincarnation, as well as grief and mourning. Banishing practices are provided for unwanted ghosts and spirits.

Final Week - As we wrap up our 30 days of Ancestor Magick, ways to continue the connection to the Ancestors and practices for year round are shared.

Working with the Ancestors is one of the most life-affirming practices in the world and a vital component to many traditions and religions.

As the saying goes, we cannot know who we are until we know where we come from.
